About Emtec
Following the project “Technische Service Zentren in Krankenhäusern ” (1979 – 1989) (=Technical Service Centres in Hospitals), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Development, emtec was founded in 1985 as an innovative institute for consulting and further education in the field of medicine and information technology. The aim was to establish an independent non-profit organisation to build a sector-specific expert network of doctors, hospital managers, engineers, technicians and economists and to maintain and expand their knowledge. The proximity to the healthcare sector is also reflected in the choice of location: The company is based close to the “Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin”, one of the largest university hospitals in Europe.
Our goal: Innovative and individual product solutions
In addition to consulting services for cost and process optimisation in medical and operational technology as well as our numerous offers in the field of knowledge management, emtec’s constantly growing service portfolio includes software development as well as the establishment of information systems for the management of medical and operational equipment. A resource-saving combination of products and technologies, standardised IT solutions as well as the conception and organisation of training events are part of our product portfolio. Flexibility and optimisation are always the focus of our services.
Emtec and Ultimo
With the help of Ultimo Medical Asset Management, emtec creates the technical basis for the medical technology catalogue. All data and information on medical devices are collected, structured and managed in Ultimo.
