For our latest Q&A, we chatted with Marc Mata, APM Solutions Manager at Becolve Digital to bring the partnership to life.

How is Becolve Digital working together with IFS Ultimo?
Our partnership began three years ago and has really evolved in that time. We’ve gone from being pretty ‘reactive’, to training both technical and sales teams here. In fact, we now have two people focused on Ultimo full-time – a solution manager and a business development manager. So, we generate our own leads and manage the full sales process – all while working closely with Ultimo.
And we’ve been fully supported. We’ve been through sales training with Ultimo and the support team has assisted us with technical implementation queries – especially with some of the more advanced features.
What was your experience of our first partner event, IFS Ultimo Nexus in September? What were your key takeaways?
It was a great event to connect with other partners – sharing knowledge and experiences with other companies. There were many interesting sessions. One of our favourites was the session about business value engineering. It gave us a lot of ideas on how to position IFS Ultimo in large organizations with clearly articulated business outcomes.
It has helped us to shape our future strategy to work with other partners in different business areas such as marketing, consultancy services, and sales.
Why do you think you have won the IFS Ultimo Reseller partner of the year 2024 award?
A mix of things. It recognizes the improvement we’ve made in different business areas to sell Ultimo’s enterprise asset management (EAM). In fact, we’ve now got people dedicated exclusively to developing on Ultimo business. This year, we also ran a successful digital marketing campaign, where we are using the full scope of marketing tactics and channels to increase brand awareness and lead generation.
What can you say about your journey with IFS Ultimo so far, and what has it brought you? What is the key to your success in this?
We used to work with another EAM solution. When it was discontinued, we assessed the market and concluded that Ultimo has the greatest market potential. We believe that its advanced features present us with the best opportunity to compete as best-in-class in the EAM category. Specifically, the SAP Certification, the health & safety (HSE) module along with the general flexibility of the tool.
In recent years, we have been able to build a solid base of happy IFS Ultimo customers – varying from large manufacturers to construction customers and more.
What else would you like us to know?
We built a Digital Lab earlier this year. It’s a place where prospects and customers can see what they can achieve with our technologies. Ultimo has his own dedicated space in the Lab integrated with other technologies like real time operations monitoring and control solutions, our own GIS solution (GISize), and others. This lab serves as a critical opportunity for our customers to experience the tangible benefits of our EAM solution firsthand.
